Прывітанне, welcome to my world.

Most of the time, you’ll find me bringing people together to answer challenging questions

– by connecting people, perspectives, and ideas, we can shape better products, experiences, and services.

More about me.

  • High-ambiguity problems are a bit like working with clay. Without centering the clay, the team moves quickly, the wheel starts spinning, and the entire structure wobbles. Guiding a team back to center is my favorite part of the craft. By facilitating alignment and driving early discovery, chaotic problem spaces are naturally shaped into strategic roadmaps – just like clay.

  • As a Belarusian immigrant (and oldest daughter) who has navigated multiple languages and cultures my entire life, I’m intrigued by the art of getting a room of people to see the same thing. Most of the time, I don’t have the answers, but I know how to find it. My role is to create a common language where cross-functional teams can move together towards a solution. It’s only then that we can begin to orchestrate the desired experience.

“One of Ilona’s greatest strengths is her ability to bring people together around a shared understanding of the problem. She facilitates conversations that bridge product, engineering, research, and design perspectives, helping teams move forward even when priorities or constraints create complexity.”

– Ty Taylor, Product & UX Director

  • There’s the problem we say we’re solving, and then there’s the problem that actually needs to be solved. Why now?

  • What’s the overall decision, considering trade offs, risks & constraints, that will be the turning point for solving the problem?

Without this decision, no significant change can be made – there’s usually a cost.

  • What set of actions need to be done to solve the problem?

And arguably more importantly, what actions are currently working against the guiding decision?

How might we modernize a legacy industry?

How might we use design thinking to elevate the quality of what we co-create?

How might we turn ideas into products and services people will adopt?

How might we take an idea from zero-to-one?
